Roderick Porter is a Canadian-born artist, producer, and multi-hyphenated creative from Moncton, New Brunswick. Porter was born with the urge to escape the small-town energy of his hometown by utilizing his creative gifts and accomplished the latter by sharing the sadness and negative experiences of life in his music. Inspired by Mac Miller, Tyler The Creator, XXXTentacion, Trippie Redd, and Travis Scott – Roderick is a versatile artist who expresses heartfelt emotion via melody and rapping, often infused with trance-like percussive drums layered with high-octane guitar loops and synths.

Roderick’s refreshingly honest approach to his art combined with his natural prowess of marketing on the Internet, led to him creating multiple viral and trending moments – fuelling streams of his music. Refusing to be stagnant during the global pandemic, Roderick released two projects – PROTOYPE ETERNAL in 2021 and the Halloween-themed, Oh, The Horror! In 2022. Together, both bodies of workalong with a slew of singles garnered millions of streams across all platforms and globally cemented Roderick as a Canadian newcomer in the industry.

More recently, Roderick has been travelling back and forth from Toronto and Los Angeles, further developing and honing his craft at the highest level. The now 24-year-old is determined to shed even more of his creative skin. “I want listeners to hear my new music and know who I am and what I’ve gone through. I want to make great songs that tell my story and journey.”
